Still standing at Hilton Pond North is a well- weathered hundred-year-old barn at the bottom of the driveway. It was apparently used for livestock—there are a couple of interior stalls—and for storage, but more recently multiple crossbars indicate it was a place for drying tobacco grown on neighboring farms. To protect the structure we removed most of those vines in December 2024: Poison Ivy, Muscadine, and Sweet Betsy.
