ORGANIZATION & FUNDING
Activities at Hilton Pond North: Blue Ridge Birds & Nature occur under the umbrella of Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History, a federally recognized non-profit organization (EIN 56-2162170) that also operates Operation RubyThroat: The Hummingbird Project.
Our initiatives involve nature research, environmental education, and natural resource conservation, primarily in the Carolinas. After 43 years, in early 2024 we moved our base of operations from York SC to near Lansing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of upper Ashe County NC—hence the new name Hilton Pond North: Blue Ridge Birds & Nature.
All our activities are made possible solely through financial gifts from individuals and businesses that believe in our work and our mission. You can support our efforts by contributing through "Donate" buttons here on our Web pages (and on our Facebook postings), via credit card at Network for Good, or through PayPal and Venmo at funding@hiltonpond.org
